I am an experienced digital marketer and brand manager with a deep understanding and passion for culture, entertainment, and technology. I have experience using innovative marketing to push industry boundaries and cultivate conversations among the target market.
As Senior Director, Social Media at Sony Music Publishing, I lead worldwide strategy development, planning, and execution at the largest music publisher in the world, working closely with the SVP, Communications, and other marketing leaders to ensure its effectiveness and adaptation.
At Kobalt Music, I led strategy and provided creative direction, production, content management, and publishing for the global company. Prior to joining Kobalt, I was an editorial assistant at Refinery 29, one of the most prominent digital media and entertainment outlets for women.
I hold a B.A. in English from Wheaton College and an M.A. in Journalism from The University Of Southern California. While at USC, I was an Executive Producer and Entertainment Writer for Neon Tommy, America's most widely-read daily university-based online news publication at the time. My opinion piece, "The Real Scandal That Isn't Discussed", received 3rd place in the 2014 LA Press Club award in the 'Feature, Online' category. I also created ClefCity, a music blog featuring behind-the-scenes videos with up-and-coming artists.
I believe entertainment is one of the most powerful vessels of social commentary. I love all things Pop Culture because of the unique, constantly evolving insight it provides on society. When not working, writing reviews, op-eds on race relations, or interviewing music's latest sensation—I’m most likely tucked in at home, running through Central Park, or cruising farmer's markets and writing about the recipes I develop on my cooking website, Sift & Shout.
