As Editorial Assistant, Entertainment at Refinery 29 I spearheaded their music coverage. I was brought in at a time where fashion and beauty were their focal points, with the occasional TV or film recap. While handling all photo and design requests and prepping the Entertainment team’s stories to be published, and writing some myself, I started to develop their music content with short articles about new releases or a round up of best lyrics or live performances. That eventually grew into profiles on up and coming artists and opinion pieces.
